Multicriteria Ship Route Planning Method Based on Improved Particle Swarm Optimization–Genetic Algorithm

With the continuous prosperity and development of shipping industry, it is necessary meaningful to plan a safe, green, efficient route for ships sailing far away. In this study, hybrid multicriteria ship planning method based on improved particle swarm optimization–genetic algorithm presented, which aims optimize meteorological risk, fuel consumption, navigation time associated with ship. The proposed not only has fast convergence but also improves diversity solutions by applying crossover operation, selection multigroup elite operation genetic improving Pareto optimal frontier distribution. Based solution set obtained algorithm, minimum-navigation-time route, minimum-fuel-consumption minimum-navigation-risk recommended can be obtained. Herein, simulation experiment conducted respect container ship, optimization compared analyzed. Experimental results show that series feasible routes ensure safety, greenness, economy provides references captains companies.
